RESTORATION OF MONUMENTS

Although natural stone-granite has many unique properties, it can also be adversely affected by weather conditions, natural elements or vandalism in the long term. MEMORAL offers the restoration of these damaged or weathered monuments.

Sometimes, in addition to restoring the monument, it is also necessary to carry out additional inscriptions or date engraving works on it. All these works are attributed to the restoration of the cemetery.

The restoration process of stone monuments is complex and is divided into several stages:

  • Accurate dismantling of the old monument and delivery to the stone workshop;

  • Sanding the surface of the monument, removing all previous engraving;

  • Repeated engraving of the necessary information, portraits, decorative elements, completely repeating the stylistics of the previous engraving (if necessary), regardless of its degree of complexity;

  • If necessary, making a new granite foundation for the monument;

  • Installation of the restored monument in the cemetery.

The renovation of granite products is a very complicated job, it requires a professional approach, knowledge, experience and equipment. Therefore, it is very important to entrust the restoration work of the monument to companies with qualified specialists and stone processing equipment in this field.
